This year, judges were looking for the best hedge laid over the 2018 to 2019 winter season. After inspecting many sites, a hedge at Lower Sheepridge Farm, Morwellham near Tavistock was awarded first prize.

Located on high ground, with stunning views down the River Tamar and across the valley, the hedge is owned by farmer Mary Ann Furze and was laid by Chris Bond and Don Gaskins, both members of Devon Rural Skills Trust.”
